The markets of Morbihan

Markets of Auray

The large Auray Monday market takes place all year round in the heart of the city in Auray. The traders are all present at 8:00 am and the market continues until 2:00 pm, or even 2:30 pm from June to September. In low season, 150 to 200 stalls animate the streets of Auray. In summer, up to 400 merchants meet there.

An organic Morbihan market, near the Pen Palud campsite, brings together about 25 stalls on Thursday evenings from 5pm to 8pm on Place Notre-Dame. On Friday mornings, about twenty local producers take place in the same place.

Place de la République, the halls of Auray are open every day from 8am to 1pm: about twenty traders offer fresh and local products throughout the year.

Markets of Vannes

The Marché Vannes aux Halles de la Place des Lices is open all year round from Tuesday to Saturday from 8am to 2pm in the town of Vannes in Morbihan. Thirty traders and producers offer meats, cold cuts, pastries, cheeses, seafood, fruits and vegetables, delicatessen products and catering dishes.

The fish market is located on Place de la Poissonnerie: open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7am to 1pm, it brings together 24 fish and seafood vendors.

Four open-air markets in Vannes also meet once or twice a week in Vannes: Kercado rue Guillaume Le Bartz on Friday mornings, that of the downtown around the Place des Lices on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, that of Ménimur, exclusively food, on Tuesday and Friday mornings, and that of Conleau, rue Sœur Odette Josse, on Sunday mornings.

On Saturdays, stalls also animate the course of Chazelles and the surroundings of Place Polig. To do your market in the evening, go from 4pm to 7pm at the Halles de Merville on Friday, or at Jules Ferry Park on Tuesdays for a 100% organic appointment.

To stroll and do good business, a Morbihan market of booksellers and record stores takes place place Paul Bert every first Saturday of the month except July-August. The Gratiféria, a quarterly donation market, also takes place at Place Paul Bert.

Markets of Carnac

Throughout the year, Carnac comes alive with a Carnac market on Wednesdays and Sundays from 7:30 am to 1 pm, in the St Fiacre car park. In summer, you can also enjoy an organic market on Tuesdays, on the Place Port-en-Dro.

Every Thursday in season, the streets of Carnac-ville live to the rhythm of the Morbihan summer night markets : from 6pm to 11pm, you can stroll between the stalls of local products and Breton crafts. The event is followed every week by a Fest Noz animated by Breton music groups and couples of ringers.
