Thursdays of Ploemeur
BACK ON THE THURSDAYS OF PLOEMEUR 2018
As every year, Thursday evenings were particularly lively in Ploemeur this summer. From 7 p.m. from July 19 to August 23, 2018, tourists and residents were able to enjoy the presence of many local artisans, food stalls and various concerts. The shows are held each week in a different neighborhood, on the waterfront as well as in the city center.
The musical appointments are eclectic. They bring together local artists and national or international artists. On July 19, the period of “Thursdays of Ploemeur” opened in Kerroc’h with the Breton group The Customers, between rock and country, and with the Franco-Spanish singer-songwriter Nilda Fernandez.
The following week, the Thursday evening came alive this time in Fort Bloqué with Sarah Vioulès, a young artist from the country of Lorient, and the group of Gabiers d’Artimon. In August, appointment was first given on Thursday 2 in Lomener.
In parallel with the concerts of the groups Aïa and En passant, the many visitors were able to enjoy the craft market and gourmet catering in a festive and friendly atmosphere. On August 9, the party left the coast to come animate the city center of Ploemeur : Place de Bretagne, participants and visitors were able to applaud successively Barbara Luna from Ploemeuroise and the Celtic rock from Maltavern. The 6 “Thursdays of Ploemeur” closed on the evening of August 23rd.
Place Jean Falquerho brought together Ploemeurois and tourists from all over the France around mussels and chips, grilled meats and pancakes. The closing night began with the Jazz concert of the band Otala, followed by the pop rock sound of Vince and the Huby’s. The last “Thursday of Ploemeur” 2018 ended around 11:30 pm.
THE THURSDAYS OF PLOEMEUR IN 2019
The Thursdays of Ploemeur are an appointment made to last. This year’s holidaymakers will once again enjoy these warm evenings during which family strolls in the middle of the stands, taste local products and discover Breton artists of high quality.
The 2019 version, in preparation, promises to be also rich in musical and gourmet appointments. You will find on our website, very soon, more information on the upcoming programming!
