ARTISTS AND PROGRAMMING

Each year, the FIL honors a nation, in 2017 was the year of Scotland, so Mischa Mc Pherson Trio, Blasta, Tide Lines and Elephant Sessions honored the opening night. Throughout the week, Scottish bands were highlighted, but other artists like Kathryn Tickell & The Side or Tri Yann performed on stage.

In 2018, it was the turn of Wales with the Welsh Manic Street Preachers, but also the Scots Julie Fowlis and Elephant Sessions, the Irishman Paddy Keenan and the inevitable Yann Tiersen, Gilles Servat and Denez Prigent.

This year put Galicia in the spotlight with a beautiful program of headliners: Nolwenn Leroy, Soldat Louis, Goran Bregovi, Carlos Nuñez, or Mercedes Péon.

Through an ever-renewed and very diverse variety of shows, the festival never forgets to stay as close as possible to its Celtic roots in order to continue to spread this beautiful and strong culture and to give the image of union of the countries that make up this Celtic nation.
