IMMERSION IN AN ANCIENT BRETON VILLAGE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the Blavet valley, near the Pen Palud campsite<\/a>, the village of Poul-F\u00e9tan<\/a> is a restored hamlet that invites you to discover, faithfully reconstructed, the daily life of Breton rural life in the 19th century. The village-museum includes exhibition spaces, workshops and animations, craft demonstrations and storytelling tours. Allow 4 to 5 hours of fun and exciting family visit<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bowling, boules or shuffleboard, many traditional games<\/strong> accessible to all ages are to discover and try on the site. A treasure hunt<\/strong> allows children to immerse themselves in 19th century Brittany in their own way. At Le Poul-F\u00e9tan, visitors are invited to share the laundry chore at the laundry<\/strong>, to participate in the manufacture of churn butter<\/strong> or to taste the buckwheat cakes<\/strong> just prepared in the fireplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Poul-F\u00e9tan site also offers its visitors the opportunity to participate in the life of the farm<\/strong> : from field work to animal feeding, including wool and hemp spinning and weaving operations. In a park of more than 9 hectares<\/strong>, an abundant flora and varied landscapes of bocage, woods and cultivated lands are home to many ancient and rustic animal species<\/strong> : Landes sheep, ditch goats, postal horses, cuckoo hens or pie-noire cows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The potter’s workshop-sales<\/strong> offers both the opportunity to discover a unique ancestral know-how<\/strong> and to leave with a souvenir. A shop is also present on the site, consisting of a bookstore, a space dedicated to traditional gastronomy<\/strong>, and a space dedicated to children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRACTICAL POUL-F\u00c9TAN<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 19th century village of Poul-F\u00e9tan is located just over 35 km from Ploemeur, in the commune of Quistinic<\/strong>. It opens its doors to visitors from April 1st to September 30th, from 11am to 6.30pm in April and May, from 10.30am to 6.30pm in June and September, and from 10.30am to 7.00pm in July and August. Guided tours, storytelling tours and entertainment<\/strong> are offered throughout the opening season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can eat on site at Ti Fanch<\/strong>, a warm inn<\/strong> where you can enjoy dishes of yesteryear revisited<\/strong>. Table service is provided continuously from 11:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you want snacks to go, you can enjoy gourmet toast and desserts until 6pm. In summer, the site also offers country picnics<\/strong> to enjoy wherever you want: in the chestnut grove, in the heart of the herbarium or sheltered in the barn in case of inclement weather. The sandwich breads<\/strong> are made the old-fashioned way, in the wood-fired oven of the village baker. At the table or on the grass, your lunch at Le Poul-F\u00e9tan is the promise of an authentic journey through the Breton countryside of 1850<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
